(E-SKRIPSI) THE EFFECT OF WORD ATTACK TECHNIQUE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ READING ABILITY AT TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMK YADITAMA SIDOMULYO SOUTH LAMPUNG
The title of this thesis was “The Effect of Word Attack Technique to
Improve Student’s Reading Ability at Tenth Grade Students of SMK
Yaditama Sidomulyo South Lampung.” The problem of this study was
there is any effect of using word attack to improve students’ reading ability
or not. The objective of the study was to know whether there is any effect
of using word attack to improve students reading ability or not. The
method was using quantitative by comparing the score of students’ pre-
test and post-test between control and experimental group. The population
of this study was 60 students of SMK Yaditama Sidomulyo South
Lampung. 30 students were experimental students and the rest were
control group students. The experimental group was given the treatment of
word attack strategy and for control group using conventional teaching
method.
