English is International language that is commonly used in everyday
conversation.This research describes the influence of social factors regarding
to English pronunciation. Based on the research problem, the purpose of this
study is to find out how far can the sesocial factors affect competence.
The subject of the research wasconsisted of 30 participants. They were divided
into educational background level. The instruments used for collecting data was
consisted of test and questionnaire. The data analysis was used by using
sample coding.
The result of this research showed the result of the test get high score above
70% in the level of high educational background, most of society score get
above 50% and socio-economi leve randomly get score from 0%-80%.
