Greatest praise and gratitude are for Allah, the Almighty, for the
blessing upon the authors when completing this book, “Speaking for
Informal Interaction”. This book has been designed to be used for
teaching “Speaking for Informal Interaction” course offered by English
Language Education Department (ELED) Faculty of Teacher Training
and Education (FTTE) University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM).
The materials comprise basic competences which students acquire upon
their learning English. It is expected that this book facilitates ELED
students to train their English oral competence.
This book consists of 10 units arranged systematically to make it
easier for students to understand so that they can improve their speaking
skills. Each unit contains several learning outcomes that students need
to achieve. Moreover, it provides students with activities that must be
done so that they obtain learning experiences that are appropriate to the
learning objectives.
